Free rehab screenings coming up at MedWest-Swain

BRYSON CITY, N.C. – MedWest Health System is sponsoring the following free screenings in February at MedWest-Swain Rehabilitation Services on the MedWest-Swain campus in Bryson City: 

• Feb. 6: Balance screening by Robyn Duncan, PT, from 9-10 a.m. 
• Feb. 15: Shoulder pain screening by Gabe Peterson, PT, from 2-3 p.m.

MedWest Rehabilitation Services include orthopedic manual physical therapy, occupational therapy, aquatic therapy, hand rehabilitation, speech-language pathology services, FCE (functional capacity evaluations) and occupational rehabilitation, continence and pelvic dysfunction therapy, sports medicine, spine care, balance and vestibular therapy, comprehensive wound care, and orthotic and foot care. 

The MedWest Rehabilitation Services staff includes doctors of physical therapy, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, athletic trainers, physical therapy assistants, clinical psychologist and certified wound care specialists.
