Medwest-Haywood Wound Care Center is celebrating a milestone with 15 years of service to the community

The staff at Medwest-Haywood Wound Care Center would like to say thank you to all former and present patients for allowing them to serve their community for a milestone of 15 years.

The wound clinic began on the second floor of the Haywood Hospital in 1997. The Wound Care Center now provides wound care 5 days a week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on weekends, if needed.

Wounds that are treated at the MedWest-Haywood Wound Care Clinic include; Diabetic foot ulcers, wounds from compromised circulation of lower legs and feet, cysts or abscesses, surgical wounds, infected wounds, as well as traumatic/accidental and spider bites. The Wound Care Center’s goal is to assist the patient with wound recovery as quick and painless as possible through the use of advanced treatments and dressing.
