MedWest Palliative Care & Hospice Services sponsoring free bereavement support group meetings in February

Waynesville and Sylva, N.C. – MedWest Palliative Care & Hospice Services is hosting the following free bereavement support group meetings in February: 

•The Men’s Only Grief Support Group meets from 9 to 10:30 a.m. the second Tuesday of each month at First Presbyterian Church at 305 Main St. in Waynesville. The February meeting is Tuesday, Feb. 12. •MedWest-Harris Hospice offering an 8-week grief support group
The group will begin on January 15th and take place every Tuesday evening from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM through March 5th. The group will meet in the hospice offices in the Sylva Plaza. We welcome anyone who is experiencing grief to find hope and support during this 8 week group. Whether you have been involved with hospice locally, had a loss elsewhere in the past or recently, you are invited to this supportive educational group. Please call the Hospice Office at 828-631-1702 to register or for more information. Light refreshments will be provided.


MedWest Palliative Care & Hospice Services offers compassionate care for people who are terminally ill and their families and caregivers. Based on a family’s request, support may be provided emotionally, intellectually, spiritually and physically.
